Over the weekend Dave and I met to discuss our clip. We had a solid idea, using the paper plane. We just needed to decide how we were going to make it.

We were unsure how we were going to make the paper plane ‘fly’ around the city. Obviously we couldn’t throw a plane in every frame, that would just be a waste of time.

We came up with the idea of taking several still photos of a paper plane and batch editing it in photoshop onto our entire set of background shots. Dave and I each made a trial photoshop image of the paper plane on an urban background. Our results weren’t very convincing but might have still given a characteristic aesthetic to our clip. Neither of us were pros at photoshop and we thought it would be too hard photoshopping planes onto 300+ slides so we flagged this idea.

Our next idea was to create a ‘rig’ with a paper plane on it. Somehow a paper plane would be suspended in front of our camera to give the impression of following it. This should be easy to do. We have yet to make this rig.
